Work I’ve shipped
Healthcare ops products I designed and helped get out the door: claims, authorizations, knowledge systems, and AI-assisted workflows. Numbers where we had them.
Ayin Iris
Operators used to rebuild the same claim questions out of email and chat. Iris put notes, multi-carrier scope, and full claim context in one place. Tracking about $250K+/yr in savings, and roughly 40% faster first useful response in ops sampling.

An 8-stage agent pipeline shouldn’t feel like a black box. I designed the ops surface so people can watch each stage, see answers tied to real plan docs, and pull exceptions for human review.
Read the story →Ayin Wiki
Messy docs in, structured wiki out, behind a PHI gate so people and agents share the same knowledge. I built an MCP server with Okta so individuals can connect their own agents to that corpus—and packaged our Figma system so models start closer to the real product.

A CIM lab I built myself: A/B variants and redesigned claim, member, and referral flows over a FHIR-based API mapped to synthetic Data Generator populations so demos feel end-to-end.

Pacific Crest, Camas CCO, and Timberline: marketing and member portals on the same FHIR API / Data Generator spine as the CIM lab, so demos run real multi-step workflows without real PHI.

Modernizing a legacy ops platform
PHTECH/Ayin roots go back to 1996—with early-2000s UI patterns still shaping dense multi-tenant work. I stood up design practice, built the system path into Figma, led the PHTECH → Ayin rebrand, and proved the new craft in real workflows.
Read the story →Call center notes in CIM
Agents took timed-call notes in Word and OneNote because they bounce the member record. I designed notes into CIM after leadership research and an eng tradeoff—standardized reportable notes, better wrap, strong call-center adoption.

Research with plans and provider offices, then segmented care types and a guided stepper. Partner workflow reports showed about 90% fewer submission errors.
Read the story →Care management at Ayin
Design work to stand up care management with internal and external SMEs when the org was investing in that space.
Read the story →Universal survey & assessment tool
A configurable survey engine for care management and other assessments. Blocks, conditions, and actions turn answers into care-plan and task work instead of dead-end form data.
Read the story →Universal configuration interface
One admin shell for care plans, assessments, goals, and programs. Tenant-aware setup without a maze of one-off settings screens.
